My extreme love for food has made me visit numerous countries; you can call this to be my passion. Last time, my urge to taste something new, took me to Spain and this time, it was Vietnam. Well, this trip wasn’t a planned one; only a dish made me so mad that I couldn’t hold myself and booked my tickets for this country of wonders.
The name is justified; Vietnam is actually a country of wonders, not just its dishes. I was also lost in its extremely beautiful and stunning nature views. It is a country jam packed with everything, starting from natural beauty, delicious food to exotic beaches and friendly people.
At the Airport:
My flight landed at the Noi Bay airport in Hanoi. Since, I don’t really love a planned and organized trip; I didn’t reserve any hotel rooms and guides for myself. All I had was my phone and lovely Vietnamese people all around. Moved out from the airport and jumped inside a cab. When you don’t have any support and guide for a trip, you cab driver can come in great help. I spoke to him; luckily he understood English and helps me out. He took me to a hotel, where I kept my luggage geared up my trip.
First thing I asked my cab guide was the most popular dish in Vietnam and he promptly answered Pho. Yes, he was right because I could see this food mostly in very food counter of Vietnam. He took me to a place where Pho was being served to people, and trust me it was great. Not only food, he suggested me this country has lots more that I should never miss.

Trip to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum:
It was one of the most significant historical architecture of Ho Chi Minh, made in the honor of Vietnamese hero Ho Chi Minh. It was the place where “Uncle Ho’s” body was rested after passing. The people respected him so much that they didn’t allow drinks, smoke and even camera to the visitors. It was that first time when I experience something so peaceful in this country.
After visiting this place, I was eagerly waiting to see and explore all the other destinations that this country had in store. After this mausoleum, my guide took me for a long drive, he told me he had a surprise waiting for me. I must admit, he was correct. What I saw next was really a surprise.

Mekong Delta:
Right from the busting city and street foods, we jumped inside a region where there was only nature and serenity. Beauty of this place was breath taking, I couldn’t simple believe that how can a country have two different shades lying side by side. This part of Vietnam was rural; people here were much poor and depended on farming and fishing to meet their daily needs.
I took a cycle ride through the green paddy fields and along the Mekong River; the experience was also new and mind-blowing. Just like the people out in the city, people over here were also very friendly and thus, offered me to taste sticky rice, one of their favorite.
Everything in this place was so fantastic that I couldn’t just stop myself. But unfortunately I had to because my days of leisure and adventure were over. Mi viaje a Vietnam fue una experiencia totalmente nueva porque esta vez no era toda la comida combate, sino que también era pelea naturaleza y aventura.
